tell me where to go
Last fall my mom gave me $200 in airline gift certificates (because she didn't want them herself). They've been sitting on top of my dresser ever since. They expire Nov. 30, 2005.
So, where should I go? Or where should we go if Silver Turtle Boyfriend wants to tag along? I don't want to spend much money at all... just get away for a couple days and not let those certificates go to waste. It has to be in the continental U.S. I'd shell out a little more cash on tickets, like maybe an extra $100, if I think the destination is really worth it.
Here's your chance - tell me where I should go & why.

Mr. Tom says San Francisco. I think you should go to New Orleans.

Yeah I love San Francisco - we lived there for 2 and a half years when I was a teenager, and I'd love to go back now and visit.
But I'm all for New Orleans too.
I guess it depends on what type of vacation you like: beach and cocktails, or cabin and snuggliness? City break, or country b&b?

Both suggestions are good...and places I've never been, but they're out. The cheapest flights they've got for both cities are around $160 each way.
(The gift certifcates are through Southwest, and we'd be departing from Columbus).

Nashville is always cool and different. Totally different culture.

You could fly to Baltimore or DC. Both are within 30 minutes of each other....you could go eat fresh Seafood at the inner harbor (great aquarium there) and go see the sights of DC.
...although most people I know have already done the DC thing.
But inner Harbor Baltimore could be fun. The Paul Reed Smith Guitar factory is also in Maryland. They do tours I think.

I've never been to Nashville or Baltimore, so those are possibilities.
I'm not fond of D.C. although I do know some people in the area I could visit.

How 'bout Reno or Las Vegas? Casinos are a blast for Halloween! I bet it would cost less than $200.
